That would definitely be the cleanest way to do it.

I've doen these types of operations quite a bit and find recorded
MIDI timing is always more accurate if the Recording sequencer is the
MIDI clock master. I would have Logic sending out MIDI clock and the
QX set to external MIDI clock.
