You may be able to do a standard midi file dump from QX3 which would be easier and quicker. If not then all you say is correct but remember to get QX3 to send midi timing clock and get logic to sync to midi clock. Also create only one standard instrument in Logics environment and get it to to record "all" in the midi channel section. You can then "demix by event Channel" as one command after the transfer.
