I have a lot of old sequences I need to transfer to my Logic 6.4.2 from my old crusty but trusty Yamaha QX3 ( a hardware based sequencer). ANy suggestions on making this as easy and painless a conversion as possible? I am assuming I would need to create a new template for this special purpose (16 MIDI TRACKS since that was the limitation in the QX 3). Then connect the MIDI OUT from the QX 3 and run it into one of the MIDI INS on my Unitor 8. Create an "instrument" that reads all 16 MIDI channels within the Logic environment. Put Logic into Record and press play on QX 3... Would I be missing anything? J
