It has never bothered me, I for one always liked Logics not always
so simple but very deep interface. Logic is built up in the
environment and you can set it up almost any way you want it which
is why that you have to create a metronome to get a metronome. It
is included when you first open Logic so you have to go and delete
it to get into trouble. In the worst case all you have to do is to
create a new one which is very easy if you understand the
environment idea.
As for the "clean up and simplification process Logic desperately
needs on its way to become the "perfect app" that we all want it
to
be" I don´t think it needs that particularly much. There are a
couple
of misbehaviours like the "bus to aux, solo aux, no sound" issue
or
the "All" PDC compensation which is a drag because in those cases
there is no way of solving this within the program only Apple can
do this.
Anyway if the metronome can be improved then I´m all for that,
it´s
just that I don´t find it confusing at all.
