Subject: [LUG] Multiple takes - what's the best method?
Message #216811
Help needed here...I only use Logic occasionally being a Digital Performer user. I'm needing to record a drummer in a Logic based studio and I'm wondering how people deal with multiple passes, in this case, of a drum kit assigned to 8 channels. In DP I assign 8 tracks for the first pass and then each subsequent pass is simply a new take on the same tracks. In Logic however if I do five passes - do I really need to assign 8 new channels per pass - meaning I have 40(!) tracks of drums in the arrange window ? What's the workaround here - folder tracks? Seems incredibly clumsy. Any help much appreciated - thanks Woody
