Subject: Re: LAMP and gigasampler on a pc
Message #21668
Lester << HI- are there any mac users using logic( on mac) and gigasampler on a separate pc? I'm thinking of going this route, and was wondering about potential problems. esp. because i'm not too pc savvy. >> This is the set up I work with. It works great. I'm a mac person from way back when, but I have to say the PC running Gigasampler has performed flawlessly. (probably a pretty stupid thing to say-knock on wood) Since I wasn't up for configuring a PC I bought the machine turnkey ready to go from Soundchaser in CA. It cost a little more, but it was worth having someone with experience tweak the machine out especially for Giga. All the PC runs is GS. I got mine put in a rackmount case. I think they'll also sell you just a plain old tower too. Northern Sounds (don't know the address from my laptop) sponsors a very good Gigasampler forum. Lot's of good info. Hope this helps.
