Thanks, Colin, for the others that replied. I found the proper menu (by accident, of course) last night. I wish my manuals would get here already--trying to use this program without manuals is like trying to build a skyscraper without blueprints. I certainly am enjoying the instantaneous MTC lockup with my d8b--it's astounding after years of ADAT-sitting. Hi Irwin, I thought I'd see you on LUG sometime....... :-) Click-hold on the little clock button on the transport window and in the flip menu, select <open tempo list> (you can set your own key command for this too) You should see -----------Start of list----------------- 1 1 1 1 Tempo 100.0000 at 00:50:00:000 -----------End of list------------------ or something similar. Just double-click on the SMPTE number and change the time as you please. Experts say its better never to select the dreaded midnight hour (all zeros) as a start time so rather go for 01:00:00:00 You are also able to enter an offset simply for display purposes. (say your video starts at 03: 06:09:22 and you want the start of your song to be at 01:00:00:00 for timing purposes). In the same tempo window, go <options><SMPTE view offset> and take it from there. >Otherwise, so far everything is working fine (although the environment >stuff will take some time to work out). No kidding.........!!!!!!!!! Watch out for posts from Len Sasso, our Logic environment guru. Best regards - Colin Unsubscribe: mail to logic-users-unsubscribe@onelist.com
