Subject: [LUG] audio and midi sync problem
Message #216019
Hello all, During a recent performance I was giving, Logic gave a message stating "audio and midi not synchronized." Fortunately it happened at the end of the song so we didn't have to flat-out stop. As this has only happened twice before, I can't seem to pinpoint the problem. Can anyone help me? My simple little (live) song set-up is as follows: -(for each song) I have two identical (mastered) files...one on track 1, the other on track 2 -track1 is going to outputs1/2 (P.A.)...track2 is going to outputs3/4 (my headphones) -a click is also going to outputs3/4 (my headphones) Equipment: -Mac G4 desktop -Delta 66 soundcard (with latest driver) -Logic Pro 7.0.1 A couple of the tracks originally had tempo changes, so in the live songs, I had to go back in and add the same tempo changes (perhaps this can be posing the occasional problem?) Likewise, the only thing midi in the whole set-up is the click (no midi tracks, instruments...) When the problem occured, I opened up my D66 control panel and found that the sample rate "locked" box wasn't checked? Also, I found that sometimes of I turn on my computer after I turn on the PA (and perhaps other equipment), my computer acts up...sometimes it might not even completly boot up. These are my only clues. Can someone please help? Thanks so much, john
