I must say I concur with Jan on this. The time frame for availability is nebulous at best. They will be announced sure, but then you have to actually GET one. There will be the inevitable merry dance with all your 3rd party software which we all must endure from time to time. I was a bleeding edge enthusiast up intil the Dual G4s...since then I upgrade ONLY when my Mac refuses to function adequately. I am currently running a Dual1.8 G5 with a PCI UAD and Powercore card. My old Dual867 G4 is a node when I mix. I cannot afford to be not running and waiting for my software to catch up. Approach with caution and get the machine that will allow you to make a living now.
