Much like the last time Apple changed processor > platforms. The usual wisdom is there is always something around the corner so if you need it now buy it and don't worry. However at this point in time I think we are dealing with an exception to that rule. I would say wait for the MacIntel towers even if it hurts. I really doubt you will have to wait all *that* long. Fall at most I am betting. (no I really don't have any inside info so yes I am just guessing). There are too many problems with G5s that are not going to go away and that basically translate into the CPU too slow (when no way should that be the case) problem and I bet it won't be long before we start seeing plugins that only run on the MacIntels. Also all reports I have seen so far are that the MacIntels smoke the G5s in the graphics dept as well so this will benifit you in the other side of you operations as well.
