Subject: newbie processing question
Message #215985
hi, as i have stated before i am coming from a pro tools background. pardon what i am sure is a newbie question, but is it possible that i am really running out of processing power when i get the following: mid playback the song stops and a dialog box which states "either disc is too slow...". i know my disc isn't slow. it looks like when i bring up the system usage window i am actually running out of processing power . however i am only using about 4 midi tracks each with ik philharmonic orchestra sample plug in. also i have a different song with 28 audio tracks (no plug ins 88k rate) which won't play either. thing is this song played fine on my digi 002 rig. i am using a different A/D converter - could this be the culprit? or have a just missed an obvious setting. i ahve tried all different buffering settings - all to no avail. ibook G4 1G 768ram prism ada-8 converter w/ firewire interface g-raid drive firewire
