I have two 800 drives (granite digital hot swaps) daisy chained on the 800 port, and a 4x 400 hub on the 400 port. My understanding is that even if you have one 400 device in the 400 port, and one 800 device in the 800 port that the 800 will step down *internally - within the computer* to the 400 rate. Is this not the case?
