Sorry , I lost my last four months of this and I know that it's too late to get that subject again but I can't resist ... I agree with your point, but ... ... have you ever heard any of 60's vinyl records ? Way too far from we are . But that doesn't mean that Mr. Ray Charles always go to his home by his feet , you know what I am saying ? ... That man knows what is to have a Airplaine !!! A lot of dance/house records are home-made ... Even Madonna could release a new tune dirty and spiked that just could be accepted as a new stuff ... Public Enemy's most sold albums soud like crap ! So, if you're not a Classical, Jazzist, old fashioned R&B producer, just relax and enjoy . ... or you really believe that if James Brown could do Mastering by himself, he won't to ...? Music is the Key and you all know that ! How could a "not that rich (100 grand) man" survive ?
