I would recommend running the HD serially after the Fireface (FW on Mac->Fireface->FW HD). You don't mention which MBP you're talking about as the 17" has a FW800 port in addition to the FW400 one (which is all the 15" has). If its the 15" (FW400 only) then it is possible to run the Fireface on a 400 bus. If its the 17" bung the fireface on the 800 socket and the HD on the 400. If all this proves insufficient then its possible to buy more FW ports in the form of a 3/4PCIExpressCard. Hope this helps, Mike Mike, I've a 15" MBP, so I've tried various set ups and none worked properly. Since the MPB and the Fireface only have one FW400 port, the only possibility is to use the FW800 port to link the Fireface and the external HD. Whether I put the Fireface first or second, didn't sem to make much of a difference, in any case Logic kept crashing. thanks, Patrick
