Subject: [LUG] Naming and Saving audio
Message #215938
I am having trouble figuring out how to name my audio files. Here is what I do: 1. Open autoload song 2. File > Save As - I then type the name of the song (say TEST SONG), then I create a new Folder with the same name (TEST SONG). 3. I then go to the Audio window and Audio File / Set Audio Record Path. 4. I set the Recording Path to the same Folder (TEST SONG). 5. I type in a "File Name" (say TEST). The "Use Audio Object Name for File Name" is checked. The problem I encounter is the name that is on my hard drive in the Folder is always "Audio X#YY.wav" (X and YY are numbers). What I would like it to say is "TEST X#YY.wav". What am I doing wrong? I recently had a hard drive failure scare and hadn't backup in a while. My concern is that even though all my Folders have different names, all the audio files in each individual folder list the audio files as Audio X#YY.wav. If they were correct, I could "put it all back together if needed". Back in the ver 5 and before I never had this problem.
