Subject: [LUG] any insights into logic pro 7.2 on iMac Intel Core Duo?
Message #215933
Hi all, I'm planning to buy my virgin iMac with an Intel Duo processor soon and I'm interested in hearing some comments from those who have been using Logic Pro 7.2 on Intel iMacs for some time. Does it run just fine? Any crashes? Glitches? General impressions? Idiosyncratic behaviour? I've come across some really unfavourable opinions about 7.2 from users on Apple's Product page, but unfortunately most people did not bother to describe the setup they were using and sometimes it wasn't clear if they were talking about 7 or 7.2. How does the performance compare to running it on typical G5 or dual G4 machines (I'm not interested in comparisons against dual PPC G5s, cause I can predict what you would have to say) I'm getting a 2 Ghz iMac ICD with 2 gigs of RAM. I'd greatly appreciate some opinions. Regards, M.
