Subject: I can't get LAMG and Mac os9 A/V to play nicely
Message #21584
System: Mac G4/500 AGP os9.0.2 Unitor8 MkII LAMG 4.1.2/G4 version Using mac's a/v inputs, no sound card yet. I'm in the learning phase, still and I'm pulling my (little bit of) hair out. I don't yet have a audio I/O card, but I'm trying to learn the audio portion of LAM while I work with the midi stuff. I can't get the audio from my system into LAM. I've tried recording from cd (internal drive) and tape (via the a/v input), but no matter what I do, it won't pass into LAM and it doesn't register on the meters in the environment or arrangement screens. On my other mac (7100/66, os8.1, LAMG 4.1.2), setting everything the same, immediately passes the audio thru and I can easily record audio tracks. The only differences I can see are os9 and LAMG's G4 version. I'm able to record into Bias Peak on the G4, but LAMG doesn't see the audio for some reason. It won't even pass the audio on, to the monitors. I hear everything fine and then launch LAM, and the audio disappears. Since I'm able to set up and record on my other system, I'm almost certain I'm setting everything in LAM properly, but maybe I'm missing something? Is this a bug in os9/Sound Manager/LAMG? Anything else I can try? Thanks for your help. Subala
