Subject: OT:Sounddiver and LAMP/who has this working all the time?
Message #21556
I have a question for you on Soundiver 2.06 and LAMP 4.1. I am still not clear on how to maintain the patches or module names and sounds in Logic after setting everything up. I have the JV-1080 and I have successful several times, created are received the patches into SoundDiver. With AutoLink on in Logic have been able to just select what patch I wanted to use and they have been all there. I have never been able to just put SoundDiver away and everything stays after song after song. It always seems that every now and then I have to go back to SoundDiver and request the patches again. Is it possible to set all the multi-instruments up in SoundDiver and then leave the application knowing that whenever I boot up my AutoLoad, that all the patches and names will be there? I don€  '²t understand what I am doing wrong? Last night I went to my AutoLoad to make sure all patches for my module were there. I have a card (Drums and Bass) in the JV-1080, and (SoundDiver) seems to load all the patches successfully, but part of the card can€  '²t be loaded I get the same name repeating itself down the SoundDiver list. All my unit numbers seem to be right; I have the 1080 to transmit on channel 1. I would like to have all of my performances on channel 16, but when I am receiving the sound or installing them into SoundDiver I put the control channel on `channel 1. When I go to the Environment (in Logic) window where I have my multi- instruments and I try to update patch information, I don€  '²t get any errors but I don€  '²t get the patches that is on the card updating. Shouldn€  '²t all patches update? Do I have to update my patches all the time? Do I have to re-install my modules into SoundDiver every two weeks? Is there some menu option that will save all the patch information into Logic? Does others have these problems? Maybe there is something that I should be reading in the manual that I might have overlooked? I have had this program for a few years and would like to stop being on the surface of it and get a little deeper, but can€  '²t seem to master the basic of just maintaining sound or patches and name information, song after song. Could it be that once I setup the AutoLoad I have to be coincident with starting all song from there? When I boot SoundDiver I get a message saying that "patches or information is loading from the Preferences and things might have change so I might want to upload them again". Maybe there is something that I am overlooking that is causing me to spend lots of time trying to keep all sounds at my finger tip in Logic.
