Simply because you can hear something doesn't mean the audio output
of that device is recordable. For instance... if you used outboard
MIDI synths and were monitoring with an external mixer, the audio
output of the external MIDI devices would have to be routed (by you)
into the audio inputs of the computer to be available for recording.
Same with what you're trying to do.
Is the main audio output of your PC through the same audio card that
has the built-in soundcard synth? If "yes", the the function
you're
looking for is not a Logic function but a instead, a feature of your
audio card's software mixer. The "record" section of the software
mixer will probably have a selection for recording all output of the
audio card. Cheap Soundblaster audio cards labeled this device "All
You Can Hear", other audio cards may use, "Stereo Mix" or
something
similar, select this device as the record master.
You will either have to do a real-time bounce or set Logic to record
a new stereo track and play/record the song in real-time.
