Hi Kurt, It's actually very simple. Put double bar lines in the score where you want the boundaries of the multi bar rest to occur. Then just drag a multi bar rest symbol from the part box in the score window onto the actual score at the appropriate place, and it will atomically insert the number of bars along with the multi bar rest. I'm flattered you would think to single me out as knowing about this.
