>> a good player who is drunk and >> has broken fingers > > That would be a drummer. > > ;-) I've gotta' jump in here. I'm a drummer. I currently own two sets (sold a third one recently because I wasn't using it). I have a set of Yamaha recording series drums that is permanently on the road (or in a warehouse) with my band gear. I also have an old piece of crap cheap set I bought used from a buddy for a hundred bucks about fifteen years. I've "fixed it up" a bit - put on new skins and tuned them, etc. I have them set up for playing and recording in a friend's basement where we jam regularly. I take a sort of reverse macho pride in being able to get a very decent recorded sound with this little kit! Good tuning, decent playing (IMHO), good mixing, experience, and good plugins go a loooooong way! ....... And I always play straight:-)) -------- Eli Krantzberg http://www.nightshiftorchestra.com Almat Productions ----------------------------------------------------------------- LUG Group Buy for Serato's Pitch n' Time LE until June 14th!
