Subject: [LUG] Quirky Logic behavior in cycle record
Message #214921
Maybe this has been going on for a while but I never noticed it until a new user pointed it out to me. His example was to record a MIDI region on a Audio Instrument track, then select an Audio Track to record on in cycle mode. Create new track and auto mute functions are enabled. Do three or so passes, stop and hit undo. The recordings disappear, but not the new tracks. The MIDI region moves back to the original track number - which is now the wrong instrument or even an Audio Track as all tracks are displaced by the number of new tracks created. When I replicated this at home, it did exactly the same thing except I additionally get two of the clone tracks sometimes recording instead of just the first one. The ensuing cycle removes the duplicate recording but not the new clone track so I end up with tracks with no recording on them.
