If you are willing to part with a little over $1K and do not have anything

models then I have the Pre for you :DAV Electronics, made in Britain.
Strangely their web
site is <http://www.davelectronic.com>. The two channel version is
very reasonable and
there is now a single space rack mount 4 channel version. People say it is
better than GML
and gives the John Hardy a run for the money. Very neutral... but better.
