This brings to mind the whole area of fail safe recording. As i do live
recording often with logic, my fear is of the dongle being accidentally
removed or the fifewire cord to my interface being pulled out .
This is why many opt for a dedicated hard disk recorder. As i have
never had a problem with crashing while doing a live job it seems these
weak links in the chain could be removed thus making computer based
live recording a more "professional" option.
