Subject: [LUG] Mackie Onyx 1640 audio input problem...
Message #214080
Hi guys I have recently purchased an Onyx 1640 desk with the firewire card. I can play music out of it (say iTunes...), and I can play old logic files OUT of it. But - I can't get the audio input to work... Say I plug a keyboard or a mic into channel 1 on the desk, I can't get channel 1 in logic to show any audio coming in... However, if I tell it I am inputting from channel 17 (the left of the main mix)(while still plugging into channel 1) it hears that... Any ideas what I may be missing? Also - has anyone got this desk? For some reasons it doesn't seem to be very stable. As my only real way of testing it at the moment is playing iTunes out of it, sometimes it will play out of the desk, and sometimes the computer seems to think it is playing out of iTunes, yet there is no audio reaching the desk... Aaaagh! Help Jeremy
