Made some tests a while back, (on PC). Large files, heavy load: USB 2.0 used 6.0 to 8.0 percent of the available CPU for sustained transfers. Firewire 400 used 1.0 to 3.0 percent of the available CPU for the same file transfers. I rebooted in between tests, nothing was cached. No noticeable speed difference between FW400 or USB 2.0. in this test. Howard
