Subject: [LUG] System Performance, Plug-ins dropping out, etc.
Message #213393
Hi All, I'm having problems with plug-ins dropping out, system performance etc. and have a few questions. When looking at the System Performance Meter Window (Option-X), i think it's not giving me an accurate reading, but i'm not sure and i can't find an explanation of it in the main Reference Manual. My questions are: When having performance problems, how do you determine if it's because there is not enough RAM or the CPU cannot keep up? In the System Performance meter window, why are there 2 columns for audio? and exactly what is it measuring. Exactly what is the Disk I/0 meter measuring. Anyone know where, in the main Reference manual the System Performance window is explained? I found by accident using the key command Option-X. Big thanks in advance. I'll include my specs below Dual 1.8 Ghz G5 1.25 GB of Ram Logic 7.1 Plug-ins East West Orchestral Gold 2 or 3 instances of both Stylus and Atmosphere ,....aye....
