I've had this happen a few times at a client's Logic-based studio
while recording 14-16 tracks. The system will drop out of record but
keep going, as if we had punched out. I never even thought to alter
the buffer settings (RME HDSP/Digiface) from their default as this is
a very lean dual 2.5 which should be more than capable of that type
of sustained recording. Might be worth a try though since we're
monitoring via TotalMix anyway.
