You wrote that you use stereo cables and those are most likely not right for your setup. The Bx5a monitors accept balanced and unbalanced lines and your lines are unbalanced. Therefore you should use mono cables or connect the ring and shield in each stereo plug. As John said, a 3.5mm-to-RCA adaptor and RCA to 1/4" mono cables are the right choice for you. If you don't get RCA to mono cables take a RCA cable and two RCA to mono adaptors. ___ Peter Ostry
