I have similar problems. I bought a G5 quad and thought to be rid of
the problem. It happens at specific spots in a song, but also at
totally random spots and times, also when there is not much going on.
I started a test : taking a song and plugging in more and more plugins.
At thes ame time I watched the Activity Monitor (an Apple Utility
program). I saw the CPU load creeping up as I slotted in more Plugins -
so far that seems fair. I also noticed how little cpu the Logic plugIns
(also the 'heavier' ones) take. Could that explain why the Logic
PlugIns sound so unconvincing (to put it nicely). Anyway, around the
50% cpu load the System Overload messages started to appear. I don't
get thatr, as I still have 50% cpu power idle. That should kick in
then. I could not investigate any further at the moment, as I have
other major problems with Logic and a lotta work to be done. I
downloaded MenuMeters to monitor the cpu with a different program, but
as I said have not yet had the time to continue on the test.
Is there anyone who knows where to find an explanation to the error
codes that appear in Logic?
Greetings, Beat
