Subject: How do YOU use Multipressor? Here is how I use it.
Message #211916
Hello, I'm just trying to grasp Multipressor. What I've had best results is doing this to the major parameters: 1. Set bands to taste 2. Set the ratio to somewhere around 2 3. Change the level display to "gain change" 4. Turn down the threshold until it starts working 5. tricky part, I must equalize the level of the band to the song by bringing down the level of the band until the band's gain change reaches 0 when it pumps down. Is this correct? It seems to be the best solution so far, and seems to provide a good A/B result when bypassing. I get really good results! I am an ex-C4 user. I put the Peak/RMS setting to somewhere around 3 o clock, whatever sounds best. What is the best way to set the downward expander? This is TOTALLY foreign to me. I understand how normal expanders work, but really the point of the feature eludes me ( for the master bus ). As a whole, I am wondering if I'm going in the right direction from someone who uses the Multipressor. I think this plugin does not get the credit it deserves. The whole 3 pages or so of documentation definitely make it harder to use, but there's definitely gold in them there hills... Thanks, Jeff
