I had the most horrendous experience yesterday while doing a gig with my
12" powerbook
1.2 GHz, 1.25 RAM. During rehearsals everything was working like a charm but
when we
started playing Logic stopped on me 5 times during a 1 hour set, due to slow
disk or
something, not that I actually took the time to read the message with the
audience
wondering what the f**k was going on. Figured out that it had to be the
vibrations since the
only thing different from the rehearsal situation was the volume. We played
a bit louder than
we did on soundcheck and it seems that was enough to give my powerbook the
shakes.
Scary! The vibrations were not violent at all, nobody were jumping around on
stage and
feeling the box the powerbook was standing on I just felt a faint murmur
from the bass. No
jolts. Is there a fix other than building a freefloat suitcase? What are
you're experiences?
Ginge
