Just check the files the same way (apple + i) You will be able to
tell which ones need to be changed like that. A 2 button mouse comes
in handy, because you can just right click to bring up a menu with
the command on it.

This may sound strange, but I would recommend reinstalling your whole
system: Mac OS, update it, Logic Express, update it.
I had a new G5 have a messed up OS right out of the box, and doing
this got rid of the crashes and such.
Just a thought, if you don't have too many plug-ins. If now, it won't
take more than a couple of hours tops.

Don't add the plugin until you're done the actual recording.

I did notice the FW 1884. Make sure it's on the FW 800 input, using a
800 to 400 cable. And make sure no other things are sharing that
input. Should get rid of a number of issues.
