This is a commercial facility though so we have ducted air con. Still the server room gets very hot (with 8 computers in there). I checked the temp today and it was 36 degrees in there. Not good- if all of the rooms are running and all the computers are on I notice my G5 and G4 crash more than when it is just me there (and hence only two computer being on and a temperature of about 28). My control room is consistently 30 degrees all year round (due no doubt to the synths, mackie LM3202, channel strips and my sweaty ass being on/there all the time. I used to live with the noise and went to extraordinary lengths to get around acoustic fan noise before I had a dedicated room. It is definitely worth the effort if you can manage it. JR
