Subject: Will Loop Browser preview 24-bit audio loops?
Message #201083
Hello. Will Loop Browser preview 24-bit audio loops? For me, it doesn't seem to work. Here is what I am doing: 1. Open Logic and make sure audio drivers are set to DAE and DTDM (not Core Audio)- to work with Pro Tools. 2. Open Loop Browser from Logic''s audio menu. 3. Clicking on a 16-bit audio file icon properly previews the audio loop (ie: the loop is audible). 4. Clicking on a 24-bit audio file icon produces no audio preview and no play icon status within the loop icon. I have a number of folders of 16-bit audio loops and 24-bit audio loops which have been imported into the Loop Browser, and this problem occurs on all 24-bit loops, and never occurs on any 16-bit loops. I have set both DAE and DTDM to 24-bit record status, and I am able to easily play back other 24-bit audio files via the Logic Arrange page; just the Loop Browser has this problem. Thanks!
