should work fine - I do this with a lowly ibook 700 mhz
use platinum verb - not the best, but we are talking live here...
if you need a delay or some such - put it on a buss...
evb3 works fine
samples on external firewire works fine - probably better to use the
"light" versions of multisampled instruments if possible
evd3 works fine
for other "regular" keys - i like the scarbee stuff much better
than
the native plugz
split keyboards can be a problem - the i/o trick is not reliable live
and latency raises its ugly head - but i have heard that there are
better workarounds in 7.1 (my ibook is still at 6.4.3)
one workaround: good results can be obtained by making custom splits
in your exs editor
a friend is very happy using logic express - in which case for organ
you will need something like ni b4 - I will be trying this approach
soon - as the biggest drawback to using your logic pro is remembering
to take the @#$%ing dongle to the gig!!!
hope that helps
