If it's the sort of budget that can't go to mastering studio or I don't trust the client (ie a TV production company) I do my own "mastering", which is usually a bit of Vintage Warmer multiband. Before that I used TC Finalizer or masterX multiband compression, but it can be very hard sounding. I love the VW, but as the others have said, do not do it till you got the mix right.
