I have this problem constantly with the white Apple mouse.
The mouse requires so little pressure to click it that simply
the act of lifting it up an putting it back down often activates
the "button".
Plus, the intrinsic need to have the mouse bottom slightly
higher than a regular mouse means that the cord gets stuck
underneath often.
Sometimes Apple gets something VERY wrong. I carry
an Acer mouse with me wherever I go, and not just because
it has a 2nd button and scrollwheel.
