Hi everyone For some reason it took me ages to find out this definitive information about getting my Delta 1010 card upgraded so it'll work in a G5, so to spare the time of anyone who is interested, I've pasted below the email I just received from M-Audio. James --- (as at 02/08/05) You will need to return the card to our service department for modification (address below). Please mark it with reference XXXXXX and write 'G5 upgrade' on the outside of the package. If you purchased the card prior to August 1st 2003 the charge for the upgrade is £45 + £9 shipping which can be paid by cheque (payable to M Audio) or by credit card. Credit card details can be taken once the modification is complete if you include a contact phone number in your covering letter.We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch. If you purchased the card after this date please include a copy of your store receipt and there will be no charge. Our turnaround time is approx 14 days at present. Here is our service department address: M Audio - Midiman Ltd Service Dept 1 Lake Terrace Grewelthorpe Ripon HG4 3BU One other piece of information you may need to be aware of: - If you have a '2nd generation' Dual 1.8 G5 or '3rd generation' Dual 2.0 G5 with PCI slots (not PCI-X) and 4 RAM slots (not 8 RAM slots) which have been shipping since July 2004 and May 2005 respectively, there is a known problem with these models and we do not certify the use of use Delta cards with these models at present. Several other PCI card manufacturers including Digidesign and TC Electronics also have a problem with these particular models First generation Dual 1.8 G5 (PCI-X with 8 RAM slots), first and second generation Dual 2.0 G5 (PCI-X with 8 RAM slots) models and all other, both discontinued and current, single/dual processor G5 models are not affected.
