Hey Folks, I'm helping a friend choose a FireWire audio/MIDI interface under $500.00. He will be using it with Logic Express, but will upgarde to Pro soon after. The computer is an 867MHz G4 with 768MB RAM. The units we've been lopoking at are the Presonus FireBox, Edirol FA-66, The M-Audio FireWire 410 and the new Focusrite Saffire. The conserations are sound quality vs flexibility. Mic preamp quality is certainly important. The ability to plug a guitar in and route the signal through the interface in order to access an outboard processor is also important. Thanks, Matt
