Autosave in ProTools has saved my bacon on a number of occasions. I also
save methodically in Logic, usually saving each time with a new filename, in
case of corruption during the save (which has happened a number of times).
Unfortunately this means you can't use a one-stroke key command to save, as
you always have to type or modify the filename. Personally, I'm often
caught out when I get very involved in the creative process and forget to
save for a half hour or so, only to have Logic crash on me.
Logic used to have Autosave, but I seem to recall it caused a load of
problems of it's own. Perhaps if it can't be implemented reliably it's best
not to have it at all, but I'd still rather have a solid incremental
Autosave function like ProTools has, or at least the option of one.
