Hi A routine defrag of my hard drive today suddenly made the connection between L7 and the firewire device dissapear. I've checked all other programs and they play fine through the Motu - just not L7. All I get is silence and then some horrible high pitched tones. If I disable the driver for the Motu and play back through internal - fine. I down loaded and re installed the driver for Tiger and the Motu - but no change. I even repaired permissions as I always do after defrag. I defrag often - as I have several external FW drives. This has never happened before. Any thoughts? Many thanks in advance. Simon
