First, export your midi file from Cubase as Type 1. this will make a
midi file that has 1 track per midi channel.
Make sure you glue all the content of each track together before you
do this, or you will end up with a huge jumble of tracks (not good).
Also, make sure you take notes to what is on each track. You might
want to name each track with the info for it, EG
Track 1, drums, batter, patch big drums
Track 2 bass, Pro53, bright string
Do this until all your tracks are notated.
Save as mid file type 1 from cubase, making a .mid file.
Now, open Logic, and drag the midi file into the arrange window. Make
sure you select individual tracks when asked.
You should now have a Logic file that has the same amount of midi
tracks, with the info from each track. Add the virtual instrument or
midi out to the right midi part, and off you go.
Hope this helps. If not, I guess it's time to read the manuals a bit
more.
George
