What about when using a machine for something other than audio work, such as running a spreadsheet to keep track of your millions in royalties? I just find it hard to believe that every single user of external boards is someone who can afforda computer for no other purpose than music, and either doesn't use computers otherwise, or has a second computer to do non-musical things.
