Hi Jim,
I have an 828mkII and Logic 7.
You can try 2 things
1) create a new audio track in Logic and hit the R button (record
ready) on the track title bar, choose a recording location.. the R
button should now be red.
Can you hear the keyboard now?
If not then in the Logic mixer go to the I/O section of this audio
track (it'll probably say Input 1-2) and try changing it to input
3-4... because on the motu in logic the front panel inputs come in as
1-2 and everything on the back is shifted.. so what is called 1-2 on
the motu, Logic will see as 3-4.
2) If that isn't working try opening the Motu 'Firewire cuemix console'
which will probably be in your applications folder. If not you need to
download it from motu.com.
Select 'Bus 1' on the four tabs at the very bottom, make sure the
'output' on the middle far right is set to 'Main-out 1-2'.. now when
you play your keyboard can you see any of the green meters on this
software console light up? Make sure none of these channels are muted
You'll get there in the end, logic is harder to set up at first than
most sequencers but once you get the hang of it you'll be laughing ;)
