Subject: LOADING SOUND INSERTS & LOSING MIDI OUT PORT CONNECTION
Message #198450
I was wondering if anyone had any insight into this problem: When I load certain sound inserts into an audio object instrument, like a piano or pad with possibly a lot of effects attached to it, by the time the sound is loaded the MIDI signal is cut off from my FANTOM-s88 keyboard to the M-AUDIO FireWire 1814 audio/midi interface. Then I see the following error message: **Instrument FANTOM sends to a MIDI port named "FireWire 1814" of MIDI Interface "FireWire 1814" which no longer exists. Please check if all MIDI interfaces are connected and turned on; otherwise adjust the instrumednts MIDI out port setting.** I then go to Preferences>Audio>Drivers and try to relaunch FireWire 1814, but I get an error message and I have to shut down the computer, turn FireWire 1814 off and on, and restart/relaunch Logic 7. Then I try to load a few more inserts and within 3 or 4 more, it happens all ove again. Is this because of a faulty M-Audio FireWire interface?...or some sort of setting on the audio object? Please advise if you can! Mick
