Subject: Drumagog Latency Problem
Message #198448
Hello Fellow Luggers, Just wanted to report a latency problem I'm unfortunately having with Drumagog. Recently returned to the studio after an extended road trip, and was disappointed to hear lots of unwanted flamming when using Drumagog with my fully mic'ed acoustic drum kit. Evidently, Drumagog's delay is not being correctly compensated for in Logic (7.1). I have emailed and heard back from the developer, and he is apparently working very hard on solving the problem. But as of this moment, it persists. So, since I was an enthusiastic proponent of Drumagog when the group buy was announced, after using the demo version with triggered inputs only, I also wish to apologize to anyone else on the list who is experiencing this unforeseen problem. All I can offer at this point is the workaround I am using, which is to bounce the Drumagog track as an audio file, drag it back into Logic's Arrange, zoom in very tight, and visually line it up with the original acoustic track. I think in future I shall be very reticent about endorsing new software products. Once again, my apologies if I influenced your decision to purchase Drumagog. HTH, Peace, Ed Billeaud Snowflake Studio
