Not sure what you mean here; why would Apple sell less copies of
Logic if they allowed for 3rd party plugs to use DAP? I would have
though it would be the exact opposite, it would make Logic more
attractive. AFAIK it's one of Apples strategies to make Logic as
compatible as possible with 3rd party products. I suspect that the AU
standard would require a modification and thus any 3rd party plugs
would need to be rewritten. I'm sure at least Waves would be quite
reluctant to do that as they would sell less APAs.
