Right now I am working with a first generation 1.6 G5 with 2 gigs of Ram. I have come to term with most of the latency issues but am having a hard time dealing with freezing and unfreezing as i work. This becomes more of an issue as I use more software synths and begin to leave hardware synths behind. Questions; 1) how much faster of a computer should i buy to solve the freeze problems 2) how do companies like Spectrasonics (RMX), apple(Logic 7.1) etc deal with transferring their software to a new computer? 3) Has enuf time gone by to use Tiger safely (?)
