Subject: Transport control in Environment
Message #196632
Hi, Does anyone know a way in which I can control the Logic transport using controller/meta messages which will be sent from buttons in the environment? I have seen that in the key commands window i can assign controllers to a key command, but when i send that value from a button, nothing happens. I am trying to make an environment which 'sort of' emulates the way that a multitrack tape machine acts when stopped and started for a uni project. I have made a fader which, when sent a bang message, increases or decreases from 0 to 127 when triggered, which controls the frequency of a lowpass filter. So when transport is started the filter fades open to give a smooth run into the sound instead of having it just burst out instantly. the opposite should happen when when transport is stopped. It all works great, but i need control of the transport. I know that i can stop the transport using meta message 52, but then i need a way to start playback again using another or the same button. Hope that all makes sense! Cheers Henry
